Unlabeled - Levi Strauss & Co. Europe's LGBTQ+ Community & Allies

Unlabeled is our LGBTQ+ ERG. It's purpose is to drive ever greater levels of meritocracy in LSE by creating a community of empowered LGBTQ+ employees and allies, and working to ensure people are valued for their contributions and as their authentic selves.

Clothing labels is what Levi Strauss & Co does best. In this ERG we believe in a world where labels for people are no longer needed to define their gender or sexuality. We like the paradox about an unlabeled (& unlabeling) brand.​

Secondly, there is some magic behind the 'un' in the logo because the 'u' and the 'n' have the same shape resulting in 'un' no matter how you turn or twist it. Same shapes different meanings (“u' & “n'), that become something new and meaningful (“un') when working together. Empathy as a step towards diversity and inclusion, but also meritocracy and positive change. ​

Graphically, the “u' and the “n' merge resulting in one symbol that has entity and will always be read the same no matter from where you read it. Which is, in the end, what we try to achieve in LS &CO. with this ERG, that everyone can be their authentic self, no matter in which situation or from which point of view.​
